Use either the top or bottom "X". The top figure works well on high resolution monitors and the bottom figure works for low resolution monitors.

Each of our eyes has a region in which there are no receptors (rods or cones). Our visual experiences do not typically include an awareness of the blind spots resulting from the absence of receptors in these regions. You can become aware of them by closing one eye, looking at the X, and gradually moving toward and away from your monitor. The flower on the right will disappear and reappear when you look with your right eye. The flower on the left will dissapear and reappear when you look with your left eye. An image of a flower is falling on your blind spot when you can no longer see it. Can you devise an extension of this demonstration to map the blind spots of your eyes? You might want to look at the measurement of visual angles.
